In my best Jerry Seinfeld voice...What's the deal with
Neflix? I really do love
Neflix. It's totally awesome. I rent a bunch of movies, I get distracted, I watch them a month later, and no late fees. Plus the movies show up at my door really quickly. I love it. The website is good and all AJAXified with Web 2.0 goodness, and I really like the "Watch Instantly" feature as well as the recommendations and the ratings system. Yet I have a serious problem with the "New Releases" section.
WTF is wrong with
Neflix? I mean you've got everything else right except the most basic feature. Why is it that I can never find a movie that was just released to DVD on there? They have the movie, it's in stock and not on a short wait, but I don't know it's there. That drives me nuts. Why can't they just tell you what is coming out each week? Oh, so you've been to the sight eh? You've seen the "Recently Released" in X months Y weeks thing huh? Yeah, well it's useless. It never reflects reality. I have a son, and those of you who have children know that when you have children you never get to see any movies. At least not until they are a lot older. So for me, TV and DVDs are all I have. And it drives me crazy when someone tells me "Did you see such and such movie yet?" and I reply "No I didn't. I'll see it when it hits DVD." and they reply "Dude it's been out for like 3 weeks now, I just rented it." Why
Neflix, why? Ok, enough ranting. But seriously that drives me crazy.
