It pains me to read articles like this
one. I love technology, but sometimes we need to separate ourselves from it. Web surfing while driving is a really scary thought. I should know. I've been in the car with my friend who uses his
EVDO rev A connection (
3.1Mbps) on his
Windows Mobile cell phone to connect to his
slingbox at home to watch TV while driving. Yes. I just blogged that. He's crazy. But not as crazy as me, the passenger.
However, as scary as it seems, I can see a use for this technology. Maybe even a
killer app. i.e.
GPS enabled applications that are aware of your surroundings. Imagine driving down a road and besides the application telling you where you are, it could do some google searches and describe where you are. Think about it.

Still the mere thought of even more distracted drivers out on the roads scares the hell out of me.
